Accel Mips Snow Helmet

About this find

The Accel Mips Snow Helmet is built for snowsports, with an in-mold design that fuses the exterior shell and EPS foam into one lightweight, durable piece. Its polycarbonate shell and 12 vents help keep things airy on the slopes, and the helmet weighs 1 lb. 1.6 oz. It comes in four sizes, from S to XL, based on head circumference, and includes a Smith helmet bag for carrying it when you're not wearing it.

A 360° microadjustable dial lets you fine-tune the fit on the go, and its 48-tooth adjustment system offers finer resolution than the Smith Vaporfit Snow. Removable ear pads add formfitting comfort, and a low-profile goggles retainer keeps your goggles secure. A regulator lets you adjust ventilation with one hand, so you can change airflow without removing a glove.

If you already wear Smith goggles, this helmet is designed to align with their frames, which helps ventilation reach the lenses. It also includes Mips Brain Protection System, which reduces rotational forces from angled impacts, plus Zonal Koroyd coverage for impact protection.
