The La Sportiva Aragon is a men's rock climbing shoe with a neutral, slip-lasted build. Its upper is unlined leather that is made to form to your foot over time. A dual hook-and-loop closure makes the shoes easy to put on and take off, which helps when you swap in and out of them between routes or burns.

Underfoot, the Aragon uses FriXion RS rubber for grip and durability. The heel rubber is 1.8 mm thick, and the toe has a 5 mm half sole. When that rubber wears down, the shoe can be resoled, so a pair you have already broken in can stay in your rotation. The pair weighs 15.4 ounces.

The shape is flat with low asymmetry, and it accommodates wide fit needs. The volume is high. The tongues are padded and lined for comfort and moisture management, using a padded mesh with a wicking cotton lining. La Sportiva recommends sizing down 1 to 2 sizes from your typical street shoe size, so start your sizing there.

Made for rock climbing, the Aragon is constructed without intentionally added PFAS and comes from a Climate Label Certified brand. It is imported. Because the leather is unlined and meant to shape itself to your foot, it is worth wearing them for a few sessions to see how they settle in.
