Contour 18 Pack

About this find

The ALPS Mountaineering Contour 18 Pack is a frameless hiking backpack with 18 liters of gear capacity, which is 1,098.4 cubic inches. It is made from lightweight, durable 200-denier nylon double ripstop fabric. The straps use 3D mesh suspension, and the pack fits torso lengths from 14 to 18 inches. It is a unisex pack made for hiking.

Access is from the top, and the reverse-direction lid gives you easy access to the inside features. Along with the main compartment, there are three exterior pockets for smaller items you want close at hand. The stretch side pockets are large enough for 1 L water bottles, though the bottles are not included with the pack.

If you like to drink on the move, the interior is hydration bladder compatible and includes a hose port. Slide a reservoir inside and run the hose out through the port. A reservoir is not included. Put heavier items close to your back and lighter ones toward the top so the load sits well on the trail.

The pack weighs 1 lb. 2 oz. and measures 21 x 10 x 7 inches, so the frameless design stays light. A raincover is not included, so plan ahead if wet weather is in the forecast. For day hikes, it gives you a main compartment and three exterior pockets to keep your essentials sorted and within reach.
