Made from 100% cotton, these Alpha Industries crew shorts come in a vintage khaki shade with a regular fit. The 9-inch inseam sits above the knee, which keeps things cool when the weather turns warm. The cotton is breathable, and the recommended weather is light. The waistband closes with a button and a zipper.

The pockets do most of the work here. Two large cargo pockets sit on the legs, one on either side, with room for a phone, keys or a small wallet. Two inset side pockets are easy to reach for quick items, and two back pockets close with snaps, so smaller things stay in place.

Small details add some personality. A red ribbon with a D-ring hangs from the belt loop, and a woven Alpha label gives the shorts a clean branded finish. These shorts pair well with a plain tee, and a button-up shirt dresses them up a little. If you carry a lot in the cargo pockets, balance the weight left and right so they hang evenly.
