The Ella Flatform Slide from Nisolo has a smooth leather upper with non-adjustable leather straps. The platform sole adds seven-eighths of an inch of height, giving you a lift without a heel. It is a slip-on design, so there are no buckles or laces to fuss with. The leather upper is Leather Working Group certified.

Underfoot, you get a lightweight EVA rubber outsole, which helps keep the raised sole from feeling heavy. The insoles are cushioned and contoured for fit and grip. Nisolo shoes are handmade from genuine leather, and this pair follows that approach, with a clean shape that lets the leather itself stand out.

This style fits true to size, but it is not recommended for narrow feet. Leather needs a little time to adjust, and within three to five wears it softens and molds to your feet. Wear your new pair for just a few hours at a time for the first few days.

After that short break-in, the slide is ready for longer outings. The added height works nicely with dresses, skirts, or cropped pants in warm weather. Because the straps do not adjust, the contoured insole does the work of keeping your foot in place, so check your sizing carefully before you choose.
