Fish Lab BBZ Wake Rat

About this find

The Fish Lab BBZ Wake Rat is a topwater lure built around a BBZ patented hard plastic segmented tail that adds extra action in the water. A steady retrieve gives off a classic gurgling and bubbling sound, while a “walk the dog” twitch retrieve produces a heavy knocking sound. It comes rigged on stainless steel split rings and high-end black nickel treble hooks, so you can start casting right away.

You can choose between a one piece 2 1/2” size and a two piece 3 1/2” size, depending on the kind of fishing you plan to do. The tails are replaceable, so if one wears out, you can swap in a new one instead of replacing the whole lure. The split rings also make it easy to connect the lure to your line.

This lure is a great pick for anglers who enjoy topwater fishing and want a bait that makes noise to grab attention. Try a steady retrieve for a bubbling trail, or add short twitches with your rod tip for a knocking action. Keep a spare tail in your tackle box so you can keep fishing without interruption.
