The Big Agnes Fly Creek HV 1 Carbon Footprint is a ground cloth made to go under the Fly Creek HV 1 Carbon tent. It does not work with other Fly Creek tent models, so check which tent you own first. Big Agnes recommends using a footprint or ground cloth to extend the life of your tent floor.

This footprint also opens up the Fast Fly setup, where you pitch the tent fly and leave the tent body behind. The Fast Fly configuration requires the footprint, tent fly, poles and stakes. Packing those four pieces together before you leave home means you will not discover a missing part once you reach camp.

It is made from 15D nylon ripstop with a 1200mm PU and silicone finish. Heat can damage the material coatings, so never leave it in a hot car trunk or attic for long periods. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight too, since UV exposure can compromise waterproofing. Store it somewhere cool and dry.

To clean it, sponge it with warm water, never hot. For a deeper wash, use a waterproof gear cleaner such as Nikwax Tech Wash. Do not machine-wash, dry clean, or use bleach or dish soap. Let it dry completely before you store it, because damp storage can cause mildew, smells and leaks.
