The vegan Skinlike Microbase insole is built from three layers: 0.6 mm absorbent, anti-odor microfiber, breathable adhesive, and 1.6 mm structural microfiber. That mix of materials is used inside the shoe to manage moisture and odor while keeping a firm structure under the foot, which is useful for any climber who wears their shoes often.

The outsole is 4 mm FriXion ECO rubber, a compound made from 100% recycled rubber scraps from other La Sportiva climbing products. An integrated rubber toecap covers the vamp over the forefoot for toe hooking and long-term durability, and a sticky patch of toe rubber is built into the rands for added jamming and toe-hooking performance.

This pair is vegan, can be resoled, and is constructed without intentionally added PFAS. It also comes from a Climate Label Certified brand.
