The Cotopaxi Pacaya 2.0 Insulated Jacket is a men's layer made for chillier active days, with a regular fit and a design that aims for the middle ground between too warm and too cold. The main body is 100% recycled nylon at 38gsm, and stretch panels run along the side seams through the sleeves. Those panels are 97% recycled polyester and 3% spandex at 215gsm, which gives the jacket room to move when you are on foot or on skis.

Inside, the insulation is Imbotex Millefiori, a blend of 40% recycled wool and 60% recycled low-melting polyester at 60gsm. The wool comes from pre-consumer scraps, so the fill gives new life to leftover material. The jacket is breathable and built to regulate heat while you explore, which makes it a comfortable fit for outdoor days when the temperature keeps changing.

Pockets and details are practical. Two zippered hand pockets keep small items secure, and an interior chest pocket holds things you want close to you. The adjustable hem lets you change how the jacket sits at the bottom edge. When you are done for the day, the jacket packs into itself, so it is simple to stash in a bag or take along on a trip.

It also works well as a middle layer on stormy days. Wear it under a waterproof shell when the weather turns wet and windy.
