Serving Platters

About this find

This set includes two curved ceramic platters, one small and one large. They are made for plating anything from appetizers to a whole roasted fish, so the larger platter gives you room for a full centerpiece dish while the smaller one suits lighter bites like toast, cookies or sliced cake.

The ceramic is made from the earth and has a glossy interior for scratch resistance, a useful trait for a surface that meets knives, forks and serving spoons. The outside has a satin finish, so each platter pairs a shiny inside with a softer, smooth-looking exterior.

Both platters stack nice and neat, which keeps the pair together when they are not in use. They are also part of the larger Tableware ecosystem. Add the Midi Bowls and Demi Bowls and the set doubles as a chip and dip setup, with chips piled on a platter and dips in the bowls.

Use the large platter for crackers, cheese and fruit, or for a roast or whole fish at dinner. For a casual get-together, put the small platter in the middle of the table for sharing. Between the two sizes, you can plate a snack spread or a main dish with room to spare.
