Spicer Peak 6 Footprint

About this find

The Spicer Peak 6 Footprint from Big Agnes is a ground sheet made to go under the Spicer Peak 6 Tent. It sits between the tent floor and the ground, so dirt, debris and rough spots meet the footprint first. A footprint like this can help extend the life of your tent floor over many trips.

The fabric is polyester taffeta with a 1500mm waterproof PU coating. That coating adds a waterproof layer under the tent, which is useful when the ground is damp or gritty. It is made for the Spicer Peak 6 Tent specifically, so it is a natural pairing if you already own that shelter.

This footprint also supports a lighter way to pitch. In the Fast Fly configuration, you set up the lightweight fly shelter and leave the tent body behind. That setup requires the footprint, the tent fly, the poles and the stakes, so check that all four are packed before you leave home.

Care is straightforward. For light cleaning, sponge it with warm water, not hot. Do not dry clean or machine wash it, and skip bleach and liquid detergents. Avoid long direct sunlight, since UV exposure can compromise the waterproofing. Always let it dry completely before you store it in a cool, dry place.
