Tikka Headlamp

About this find

The Petzl Tikka headlamp runs on a single button, so you can switch it on and adjust it with ease. It offers three brightness levels, plus a red light mode and a strobe, so you can choose the light that suits your needs. Red light helps preserve night vision and keeps you from blinding people nearby, while the strobe can help signal your location. A lock function prevents it from switching on by accident and draining the batteries when it's not in use.

The headlamp tilts up or down, so you can aim the beam at the trail or your campsite whether you wear it on your head or your neck. Its single, wide-beam pattern lights up your immediate surroundings, and it comes with three AAA batteries. If you prefer a rechargeable option, the Petzl CORE rechargeable battery works with it, though it isn't included. A phosphorescent reflector makes the lamp easier to spot in the dark.

Pack it in the included Shell LT storage pouch, which is made from 100% recycled materials and lets you turn the headlamp into a lantern. Keep the lock on while it's stored, and bring a spare set of batteries along for longer outings.
