TroKar Worm HD Fish Hooks

About this find

These TroKar Worm HD Fish Hooks are made with cold-forged high carbon steel. Each point is sharpened with surgical accuracy, and a low profile barb sits near the tip. That barb is built for easy penetration and solid holding power, which helps a hook set cleanly and stay put once a fish takes the bait.

The top of the hook has a non-offset forged ringed eye. It is closed, so your line has a firm loop to pass through when you tie on. Just below the eye, the shank has a pronounced offset bend that forms a stepped kink, giving the hook a shape that is easy to tell apart from a plain straight shank.

Past that kink, a long straight shank runs into a wide, deep rounded bend that ends in a sharp point. The Worm HD name suits worm-style rigging, and the roomy bend leaves space for bait to sit along the hook. The finish is Platinum Black, smooth and glossy, with soft highlights along the wire.

These hooks are imported and come in one color. Since the barb is low profile and the point is made to be sharp, a quick check before fishing is worthwhile. Run a fingertip near the point before each trip and replace any hook that feels dull or looks bent. A fresh point makes every cast count.
